How Remember Me handles your data

Data we store

We store account details, profile preferences, people you add, important dates, wishlist links, events, draft gift gestures, public wishlist link settings, and subscription status. If you opt in to text reminders, we also store the mobile number you provide and the time you consented. If you send a gift by text, we store your confirmation, the recipient number in E.164 form, the time, and the message text so we can audit that send and honor STOP. For gift recipients we store whether they replied YES or STOP and when, so we only text them with their consent.

How it is used

Your data is used to run Remember Me, sync your account across devices, operate subscription access, respond to support, and improve product reliability. We do not sell personal data. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes, and we do not sell that information.

Text messages and mobile numbers

We collect a mobile number only if you choose to turn on text reminders. We use that number, and the record of your opt-in, to send the Remember Me messages you requested: birthday and date reminders and gift card delivery notices. Message frequency varies. You can turn this on or off at Text reminders.

Gift texts to someone who has not opted in start with one request text that names Remember Me and the sender and asks them to reply YES to receive the gift, STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. We send that request once per gift and send the gift text only after a YES. We record the reply and its time. A YES covers gift notices only and does not add the number to reminders. Reply STOP and we suppress that number.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the vendor that transmits the messages on our behalf. That vendor may not use your number or your consent for its own marketing.

Public sharing

Wishlist links are private, view-only, and can be disabled from your profile. Anyone with an active link can view the preview until you disable it.

Your controls

You can export your account data or request deletion from your profile. Deleting your account removes your saved app data and authentication record.
